RealBridge adds audio and video to online play. So you need a camera, microphone, and speakers (an earphone with microphone is even better) on your playing platform. You can use iPad, Windows 10 Laptop/Desktop, MacBook, Android Tablet, or Chromebook as your playing platform. Please use one that is not older than 5 years. A smartphone could work, but the display will be too small and clicking bids and cards accurately is even more difficult.
Unlike Bridge Base, RealBridge does not need a UserID/Password. You simply use a browser like Chrome, Edge, FireFox, or Safari and click on a link that is made available to you. For each new game, there will be a new link.
The following step is VERY IMPORTANT. When you click on a RealBridge game link, in small letters, somewhere on your screen (e.g., top left), a box will pop up telling you that RealBridge wants to use your camera and microphone. You must accept and answer OK. Otherwise no audio/video in RealBridge! At our club, we want everyone to have audio/video to allow the full RealBridge experience and to allow Directors to contact you during play as required.
One of our Directors will provide a training session for first-timers. It starts with an audio conference call, and leads you through the login page to the club lobby and a table. We will also play a few boards to get you comfortable. It is better that you and your partner attend the training session together.
During the call and training session, please be patient and follow each step carefully. Do not click on anything until asked to do so. Feel free to ask questions!
After training, clicking on player guide will allow you to browse it. It is good for reference.
